Dry Eye Treatment

MiBo ThermoFlo – a treatment for dry eyes and much more. Dry eye is the most common reason why people visit an eye specialist.

MiBo ThermoFlo

The surface of the eye is moisturized by tear fluid that consists of water, proteins and lipids. Lipids are the prime component for keeping the eye moist, and a defect in this, is the most common cause of dry eye symptoms.

Lipids are secreted by the Meibomian glands in the eyelids, and the tear fluid along with these lipids, cover the surface of the eye. Any kind of disruption in the functionality of the Meibomian glands cause symptoms related to dry eye syndrome. Eyes might feel itchy, burning, dry and irritated, and a sensation of “sand in the eyes” is commonly reported by patients.

MiBo ThermoFlo is the perfect solution for people suffering from dry eyes but also works perfectly for patients suffering from itchy, irritated or watery eyes caused by physical or external factors such as excessive screen time (mobile, tablet, computer, TV etc), working in strong winds or being in air conditioned envrionments (work, home, car etc.)

The treatment is painless

Quick and actually quite relaxing! It feels like a spa treatment for the eyes! Whilst laying on a bed with your eyes shut and relaxing music playing in the background, ultrasound gel and a silver pad are placed on top of the eyelids and the MiBo Thermoflo machine supplies continuous heat with a therapeutic massage effect, which is absorbed deep into the tissue and breaks down the hardened lipids in the meibomian glands.

The MiBo ThermoFlo treatment

Is non invasive, pain free and simple and nearly all customers gain long-term alleviation of their dry eye symptoms. On session takes 12 minutes per eye. The treatment gives instant relief and is recommended to be taken in 2-3 sessions series for best results.
